My take

The numbers say one thing and the court says another.

On paper this racket is a bit scary: balance at 270 mm, two millimetres off the Coello Pro, which is a pure diamond. With those numbers you expect a demanding racket, the kind that forces you to hit dead-centre or punishes you.

And then you play with it and it's not like that.

I've taken it out for quite a few matches and the first thing that surprises you is how easy it is to handle. The sweet spot is really wide for what the numbers say, and the ball exit is one of the best I've tried in this range — the ball comes off on its own, you don't have to force the shot.

It feels firm but comfortable, which isn't easy to pull off. And this is what I value most: after several matches, zero arm trouble. If you've ever had tennis elbow, you know how rare it is to say that about a racket with this balance.

The trick is that it's a teardrop, not a diamond. The shape spreads the weight better, and the Foam core with the carbon and fibreglass faces take away the dryness you usually get from attacking rackets in this range.

IT SUITS YOU IF: you play third or fourth category, you want to gain punch up top and you don't trust yourself to jump to a pure diamond. This is the step you're looking for, and it forgives more than its spec sheet suggests.

IT DOESN'T SUIT YOU IF: you're after raw, maximum power. For that there are real diamonds. This one trades a bit of punch for comfort, and the trade is worth it unless you compete at the very top level.
